Chicken Tikka & a Parking Ticket.
I thought i was having a great day. Woke up at 7am, started working soon after that, made myself a good avocado toast leading to some great conversations for a few key work opportunities. Meanwhile, i realized my hair got too long & was bothering me, so decided to head out for a haircut to my favourite barber thats 40 mins away. Made it to the appointment on time listening to some good music on the way. I always enjoy the vibe & conversation with my barber. He has a calming demeanour that i always look forward to.
It was 3.30 by the time i got out with a good haircut realizing i haven't had lunch. Remembered the Uber Eats credits on my wallet & decided to spend that on something healthy yet tasty. Browsing through, I found a great deal on Chicken Tikka at a restaurant downtown. I placed the order, got there a little late as i had to get my car some gas(fuel) on the way. I assumed the 15 mins delay of arrival post the pickup time should be a quick in & out to only later realize I was setting myself for disappointment.
I left the car right outside the restaurant door with my parking lights on to quickly go-in grab my order & head out. The restaurant delayed it a lot longer only for me to realize i got a very expensive parking ticket. Especially the times when my pockets are tight. Especially when this was avoidable. It caused me deep pain.
My 45 min drive back home was a mind battle.
But Chicken Tikka was great.
I made peace.
