Adam Mosseri this week: "To be clear, I am very worried about this trend."
The trend = AI accounts copying artists, comedians, dancers. Their work, remade by a machine, posted by someone else.
Same guy, same week, in his Q&A: Instagram does not throttle AI content just for being AI.
So the copy can still win the feed. OMG.
He also admits copyright claims don't help people who never registered anything. Which is most of us.
Andrew Hutchinson put it together here https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/instagram-chief-says-stronger-ai-slop-prevention-is-needed/833416/
My take. The copy gets the views. The original gets the followers. Keep posting your own face, your own voice, your own mess.
Guys, would you even notice if your favourite creator got copied?
