Stripe now lets AI agents run part of a startup's money.
Check balances. Pay invoices. Move money between accounts. Convert currencies. Cards and spending limits are coming in the next weeks, Crowdfund Insider wrote it up today https://www.crowdfundinsider.com/2026/10/320412-stripe-unveils-treasury-tools-that-allow-ai-agents-to-handle-startup-finances/
The part I like most is not the agent. It's the controls. You decide what it can see, whether it can only read or also act, and which payments still need a human to say yes.
That's the right order for small businesses. Let it read first. Trust comes later.
Would you let an agent touch your business account? :)
