After my last posts about Europe being slow, I owe you a good one.
Swiss robotics startup Enact came out of stealth yesterday with $30M. Pre-seed!! Not series A, pre-seed.
The founder Manuel Galliker worked before at Physical Intelligence, a US robotics startup. And look who put their own money in: Arthur Mensch from Mistral, Yann LeCun, Thomas Wolf from Hugging Face. Saw it on tech.eu https://tech.eu/2026/10/22/mistral-boss-and-yann-lecun-back-swiss-robotics-startup-enact-in-30m-pre-seed-round
What they build: robots that feel force and touch through their own motors, not only look through cameras. So more like a hand than an eye.
Ok ok, Switzerland is not EU, I know.. But European AI people backing a European robot company? That's the kind of news I want to read more often. Not notaries reading contracts for eight hours.
