You know that thing when you're shopping on your phone, tap a size filter... and the whole page reloads and throws you back to the top? 😅 Then you tap a colour and it happens again.
By the third filter most people just close the tab.
It's one of the things I see most often when I look at e-commerce shops. On desktop nobody notices. On mobile every filter that reloads the page feels like starting from zero.
Easy fix: let people pick all the filters they want, then one button at the bottom, "Show 42 results". The number is the nice part, you see before tapping if you've filtered yourself into an empty page.
!!! -> Most of your visitors are on mobile. Test your shop with your thumb, not on the big screen in the office.
