A single question to ask yourself when you cannot decide whether to keep someone.
"What would I need to see in the next ninety days for this to feel obviously right?"
Write down what you would need to see. Be specific. Three things, no more.
If you cannot list three things. or you do not believe they will actually happen. you have your answer.
The rule works for keeping people, for staying in jobs, for sticking with projects, for ending relationships. It works because it forces the hidden evidence to the surface.
