The Citation Diary turns that signal into a column: one writer, one piece, one short essay on why it got cited — the angle, the structure, the specific sentence the engine pulled. Equal parts dispatch from the field and craft manual.

How to write yours

Open /desk/visibility. Let the data hand you the lede.

  1. Pick the piece. Whichever one pulled the most AI crawls or referrals this week.
  2. Write 500 words on why. The H2 you led with, the answer in your first 60–100 words, the specific sentence you suspect got pulled.
  3. Tag it citation-diary. Once approved, it lands here.

The first entries ship Monday. If you’ve already got AI citations showing on /desk/visibility, you have everything you need to write one.
