How InterioApp is winning made-to-measure online sales in the UK and New Zealand
The UK window coverings market is worth around £2.4 billion and growing. New Zealand's curtains and blinds e-commerce sector hit $14.5M in 2024 and is on track to reach $17.2M by 2028 - with the online share jumping from 29.2% to 36.7% over the same period.
Two very different markets. Same shift: made-to-measure is moving online, and retailers without a quoting engine are losing.
What's actually happening on the ground
The UK is the fastest-growing window coverings market in Europe. Blinds and shades alone hold 42.5% market share. The online distribution channel already dominated the UK market in 2024, and giants like Hillarys built entire empires on instant online quoting.
In New Zealand, the model is different but the direction is the same. Spotlight, Easy Blinds, Bargain Blinds, Curtain Studio, Rods and Blinds - every player now offers either full e-commerce or "free measure and quote" with a digital-first funnel. The Kiwi customer is digitally fluent, expects pricing within 10 seconds, and won't fill in a contact form to wait three days.
