Do you help them earn?
Do you help them save more?
Do you help them spend better?
These are the questions i ended up with, after trying to position @immerzyve as the solution to my customers challenges running their home interior businesses. Spending effort, but not seeing much success, i'm sharing what i've learnt so far.
The current biggest challenge i have in front of me is initiating conversations with potential customers. With not having access to a physical marketplace where i can bump into them, my go-to option is the internet, specifically Social Media. I've chosen LinkedIN to do that, but many others probably thought the same. The result is that my customer's inbox is full of spam & i'm one among them. Spending a fortune on Premium is a way to be slightly different, but with no guarantees. Having exhausted the budget for that, my creative ways still help gain attention but only to a small extent.
For the few conversations that do start off, the challenge is "WHAT DO I SAY NOW?". The internal battle within me doesn't want me to come off as another sales guy, but i do not know what else to say either. I've watched enough youtube or instagram to realize nothing really works except authenticity, & a bit of luck. Over time, i've realized the real question that should've been on my mind is "Why should they care?".
And after many conversations, i landed with the above questionnaire.
One of these can help you start a great conversation.
Can your startup answer that?
