Most businesses are adding AI and very few are creating an AI operating doctrine. There is a big difference.
Buying AI tools is easy but building a business that knows how AI should think, act and make decisions is much harder.
Before creating another AI agent, answer these questions.
1. What is our mission?
2. What decisions can AI make without asking?
3. What must always stay in human hands?
4. How should AI communicate with clients?
5. What information can it access?
6. What should it never do?
7. How do we measure whether it is doing a good job?
Without clear rules, every AI agent becomes another employee with different habits. With a clear operating doctrine, every AI works in the same way, follows the same standards and improves over time.
This is where the real value is, at least if you set it up correctly. The companies that win with AI will not be the ones using the most tools. They will be the ones with the clearest operating doctrine that every AI agent follows.
Tools will change but models will improve and faster than we can immagine.
A good doctrine will stay the foundation for years - and thats the goal we should seek.
