Instagram has a new button. Open any Reel shorter than 90 seconds, tap the three dots, "Use as reference".
The other video sits on top of your camera, with a countdown, so you can match it move by move. iOS only for now.
At the same time they are removing the option to link Reels into a series. From 28 October it's gone.

So let me get this right.
Copying someone else's clip: easier.
Building your own story over several clips: harder.
I get why. Trends travel. Remixes travel. If you want to post 400 times a week like Gary Vee, a button like this helps a lot.
But I keep thinking about this.
Nobody follows an account because it copied the trend best.
They follow because of the person behind it. The story, the mistakes, the opinion.
Use the button, fine. Just don't let it become the whole account.
Guys, how many of your last 10 posts were 100% yours?
