The instinct is to widen the message so more people fit. It feels safer. It is actually how you disappear. Broad messages are forgettable, because they are not for anyone in particular.
Narrow messages are magnetic. The right person reads one and thinks, that is me.
Aiming narrow does not shrink your market. It is how you finally hit it. Pick one person. Picture them. Name their problem in their own words, and let everyone else scroll past.
The narrower the aim, the bigger the hit.
Speak to one person, and a thousand will feel spoken to.
