Few days ago it was books, now it's music 🎧
YouTube Music started putting a small "AI" tag under songs where AI did the big part. Fully generated tracks, or ones where a model made the vocals. You tap the tag and it tells you how AI was used.
And they are not alone.
Spotify labels AI personas.
Apple Music has transparency tags.
Traxsource has "Human-Made" and "AI-Assisted".
TIDAL doesn't pay royalties for AI tracks at all.
Then this number. Deezer said in May that 44% of its daily uploads are AI generated. Almost half!! 🙈
So the label is not a nice extra anymore. Without it you just don't know what you are listening to.
I don't hate AI, I use it every day. But when I put on a song I want to know if somebody sat there with a guitar at 2am, or if it was a prompt.
Same with words. Same with everything I think 😁
