What you post on PUBlish now eligible for Google News/Discover and not only AI

Releasing new updates this week. Most of it are invisible on the desktop app, but very nice and beautifully designed for the mobile app. But still the most important are the updates how the internet sees you, so here it is in a simple language what we are launching this week:

Think of Google and AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity as very careful librarians. Before they recommend an author to anyone, they check two things. Is this a real person? And what do they actually know about? This week we made both answers loud and clear.

1. Machines now know it's really you. Your PUBlish profile now officially links to your other profiles - your website, LinkedIn, Instagram. Like a verified ID card that machines can read. Honest admission: before this, your page was introducing you to Google 27 separate times in slightly different ways. Confusing. Now it introduces you once, clearly. We also connected profiles to Wikidata, the encyclopedia machines use to know who's who.

2. Machines now know what you're an expert in. Every topic you write about gets collected on your profile as your area of expertise. Publish three pieces about interior styling and the signal gets stronger: this person knows this. Recommend her.

3. Google finds your new articles in hours, not days. When you hit publish, we now tap Google on the shoulder directly. New article here, come look. Before, Google might wander by whenever it felt like it.

4. AI assistants can read and cite you. We checked and opened the doors for all the major AI readers. So when someone asks ChatGPT a question in your field, your article can be the answer they quote.

5. New: your PUBlish articles on your own website. One small line of code, your web person adds it in two minutes, and your three latest articles appear on your site. Your website and your PUBlish profile now boost each other.

Why does any of this matter? Because likes disappear. Citations compound. Every article you publish here now works harder for you, in Google and in every AI assistant your future customers are already asking.
