We are purposeful learners. Aren't we?

It's funny how we perceive language. We focus on memorizing the word & learning the meaning of it. That word could mean much more, but we most of us don't care. Knowing everything takes effort which we're hardwired to push back as humans. We learn things as per need. We conserve energy by default. Most of us learn to communicate to get things done and for that, we don't have to be conscious of everything we try. But with that habit, we maybe losing some good fun out.

I wrote this post yesterday about how i bumped into an interesting observation of how most of the vocabulary I use in my daily life as an Entrepreneur revolve around words that start with "Con". Being a Sunday, I went down the rabbit hole to learn the origins of it.

"Con" comes from the Latin word "cum"(with/together). Meaning it's best used to express something that is more than one, i/e when two things come together or are together. Just like most english words, it's meaning is not standard & "Con" can mean something totally different in other contexts. But the most astonishing fact?

English has 1800-3000 words that start with "Con". Uff!! That's a lot!

And all of them to help humans communicate. They're crucial in language, to express relations between two entities, especially to compare. And for humans, that's the usual. This exercise had an important lesson for me to learn.
