🤯 A lot of apps are being built right now by people who do not understand the code they are shipping.
It is called vibe coding🤞. You ask an AI to build something. It works. You launch it. You never read what it actually wrote.
The app looks fine. The problem is what you cannot see.
Passwords and keys left out in the open. Databases anyone can open. A user changing one number in a link and reading someone else's private data. This is not rare. Studies keep finding that a large share of AI written code ships with security holes.
❌ Here is the part that should worry us.
It is not just the founder who gets hurt. It is their customers. Real people. Real data. Real money. And often other businesses connected to that app.
We are going to see a wave of this over the next few years. More apps. Less safety. More breaches.
😶🌫️Some people think this means we all go back to paper and Excel. I do not think so. 🤦♂️
I think trust becomes expensive. Buyers will stop asking what your app does.
They will start asking how it was built, and whether they can trust it. The businesses that can prove they are safe will win. The rest will quietly disappear.
So build fast. But know what you are shipping.
Be careful, dear vibecoders.
