A quiet day. I made nothing and I am writing about it.

Today the workshop was empty. No appointments, no deliveries, no urgent commissions. I spent the morning re-organising fabric rolls and drinking three cups of tea. I had planned to use the afternoon to call back the woman in Bradford-on-Avon who left a message last Tuesday, but my courage failed me and I tidied the cutting table instead.

I am writing this on the assumption that there will be readers in similar situations - people who are starting things, who have quiet days that feel like failures, who tidy when they should be calling. I do not know if it will help anyone to hear that today did not go well. I think there is too much pretending online and not enough of just saying when the day was small.
