What I’m building right now
Right now we're scaling our Signature Cube line for partners across Europe while appointing one exclusive distributor per country. Most of my week goes into the build side: refining how our saunas hold heat and survive a decade of Baltic winters, and helping new partners get their first units on the floor.
Q&A
Who is Giedrius Patlaba?
Giedrius Patlaba is the CEO and co-founder of Wood Architects, a Lithuanian manufacturer of premium outdoor saunas. He started by building barrel saunas and now leads a company that designs, manufactures, and supplies barrel and Signature cube saunas to exclusive distribution partners across Europe.
What does Wood Architects make?
Wood Architects is a premium outdoor sauna manufacturer based in Klaipeda, Lithuania. We build two lines: traditional barrel saunas and the Signature panoramic cube. Every sauna is hand-built from thermowood, fitted with quality heaters from Harvia and HUUM, and pre-assembled and checked at our facility before it ships, so partners receive a finished product rather than a project.
How do you become a Wood Architects distributor?
We appoint one exclusive distributor per country and protect that territory. Partners receive factory-direct wholesale pricing, exclusive rights, and a product line that competes on design rather than discount. We are selective. We would rather hold a market open than place the wrong partner in it. If your country is still available and you can build a serious operation, the next step is a direct call.
Why source saunas from Lithuania instead of overseas?
Cheap overseas saunas cut cost by cutting corners: treated timber that off-gasses, weak heat retention, units that fail in a European winter. We build by hand from thermowood, which resists moisture and movement and lasts. The result is a sauna a partner can put their name on and a customer keeps for decades, not one they apologise for after two seasons.
