If three customers a week leave your website because it shows no price, and your average order is £150, that is £23,400 walking out of the door every year, and you will never see a single one of them. They do not ring, they do not complain, they simply buy from the shop whose website answered them. The fix is a price on the product page for her own window: she types her width and drop, picks the fabric, sees the price from your own price list and orders, or books a home visit for the bigger job. On Shopify that costs £2.60 a day.

Because a lost online customer leaves no trace. In the showroom you see her face when she hesitates, and you can answer. On a website she reads "request a quote", or "from £29", or a form asking for her phone number, and she closes the tab. Your shop was open, your fabrics were right, your reviews were good, and the door was still shut.
The numbers say this is normal, not bad luck. Baymard Institute's average across 50 studies is that about 70 percent of online baskets are abandoned before payment, and that is for ordinary products with a price on them. Among the reasons shoppers give, 40 percent say unexpected extra costs, and 12 percent say they simply could not see the total cost up front. A made to measure blind with no price on the page loses people even earlier, before there is a basket at all.
She stops guessing. The size comes first, with a small note on whether to measure inside the recess or give the exact size. The fabrics are real swatches. The options, open roll, cassette, motor, are pictures with the price difference written next to each, and the price updates the moment she changes anything. The measuring guide sits next to the size boxes instead of in a PDF, and the child safe chain is mentioned exactly where she chooses the control, because that is when parents ask.

Every price comes from your own supplier price grids, so a 142 cm blind is priced in the 150 cm band exactly as your supplier prices it, and your margin is already in it. Tracks and poles are priced by length the same way, because they are cut to size too.
She will not buy a whole house on a website, and she should not have to. When she has several windows, or clicks "not sure, ask us", the calculator offers a phone call, a video call where you measure together, a home visit, or a written quote by email, with the sizes and fabric she has already chosen attached. The small orders pay at the checkout. The big ones arrive in your diary as appointments, already half qualified.

It has to, because that is where a lot of people look at blinds now. On a phone the calculator becomes one step at a time, with the price fixed at the bottom of the screen so it never scrolls away, and swatches big enough to tap with a thumb.

Yes, if you use InterioApp in the shop as well. The same price grids, the same rules and the same margins are used for the quote you write on a home visit and the price on your website, so the customer never sees two different numbers for the same blind. Daniel, from our team in New Zealand and Australia, shows where the integrations are set up.
And here is how a supplier price grid goes in, once, and is used everywhere after that.
The Curtain and Blind Calculator for Shopify is £79 a month, which is £2.60 a day, less than the coffee on the way to the shop. The app has a 7 day free trial on Shopify before you pay anything. For the shop in the example above, that is about £950 a year against £23,400 of orders that currently leave without a word.
If you want the calculator designed around your own store, or you want the full system with quoting in the showroom as well, we build that with you. That is the conversation for the demo.
People from the trade. We have been in the curtain and blind business since 2011, ran our own curtain shop, and built the first calculator for that shop because quoting by hand was too slow. InterioApp now runs quoting, Shopify calculators and online stores for curtain and blind retailers in the UK, Ireland, the United States, New Zealand and Australia. One client, Karen Rhodes, wrote of her new curtain website: "The attention to detail and industry knowledge really shows."
AI is brilliant at the picture. Tell ChatGPT about your shop and it will draw a calculator in your colours in ten minutes, and we use it exactly like that to agree a design with a retailer before we build anything. What it cannot do on its own is be right about your price on every order: the supplier grids, the band rules, the motor that is only allowed above a certain width, the margin, the VAT, and the measurements landing on the order so the workroom can cut from them. The picture can come from AI. The number has to come from your price list.
More and more of them ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI answers where to buy blinds in their town. We work with PUBlish , our partner publishing platform, and can set up a verified profile and articles for your shop, published so those engines can find it, read it and recommend it. It takes weeks, not days, and together with a website that shows prices, it means the customer who finds you can also buy from you.
Yes. It works with current Shopify themes and sits on the product page, so the rest of your store stays as it is.
Yes. Blinds are priced from your supplier grids, curtains from fabric, lining, making and fullness, and tracks and poles by length.
The calculator asks for recess or exact size, shows the size limits, puts the measuring guide next to the boxes, and every measurement is attached to the order so you can check it before anything is cut.
The calculator offers a phone call, a video call, a home visit or a written quote, with her choices attached.
